We'll start with the simplest part of QuestionPoint,
and concentrate on the Patron experience. For your patrons to ask an email based
question they click on the appropriate link on your library website and get a web
based form similar to the one below.
Patrons use their correct email address to receive the answer from a librarian. Note
they do not use their name. Patrons can use any email account they might have.
After submitting their question they get a Thank You display as below. Note they
can check their account, or return to the ask a question web page. Note too the added
signature like text generated by your QP administration.
The answer from the librarian goes to their email account and will look similar to
this example.
The active link can be embedded into the answer allowing the librarian to expand
the range and scope of answers to the patron.
