Travelocity is a full service travel web site giving access
to transportation, lodging and meal information of all levels and for all locations.
One stop shopping at its best. Travel Wisconsin is the official web site of the Wisconsin
Department of Tourism and it does a very good job of providing all sorts of travel
and tourism information for the state. Northwest Airlines is a good example of a
well designed airline web site. It both allows you to book flights in advance (including
being able to "cash" in your frequent flyer miles online) and to check
the status of current flights. Mapquest is an excellent example of a mapping site.
You can get general overview maps and specific driving directions maps. Finally Trail
Works is a good example of a speciality travel site. This one emphasizes vacations
that also involve helping to maintain hiking trails.
