"The sincerest from of flattery is imitation"
A fun packed overview of the wild and wacky world of electronic devices that are
trying to be just like a book. What's on the market, what's being promised, what's
already come and gone, what has a snowballs chance in August of actually being a
success? Stay tuned for demos of some of the appliances as well as web sites, pictures
and diagrams of all the rest. Be prepared for way too many ebook formats.
Everyone always want to know where you got your information. Here's where I got mine:

http://www.writerswrite.com/epublishing/edevices.htm
This is a good resource but some of the stuff is
out of date. Like
everyman is dead
fxpals is dead
mit victorian laptop is way out of date (1995)
e-books.org
http://e-books.org
Has a products page with an interesting
collection of failed and only got as far as a prototype ebooks <grin>.

http://www.ebookweb.org/
Is a newer web site dedicated to informing
folks all about ebooks. Looks like a really good start, but still developing and
adding new information. Of course the most difficult part of eBook appliances is
keeping the upper case and lower case letters and combined words correct.
Here's the line up in alphabetical order of course:
1) eBook Formats
2) Cybook
3) eBookMan
4) goReader
5) HandEra
6) hiebook
7) Palm Reader
8) Qubit
9) REB 1100 and 1200
