Viewport Page

The viewport page is what the patron sees by default on the left hand frame of the Chat service when they first access the service. There is an OK default page created by the QuestionPoint folks. You can change around your specific viewport, but we don't encourage that. Currently we are working on exactly what should be on an Ask?Away viewport page that would be utilized by all of us. You can see our initial mockup attempts and encourage your feedback, at:

Please note that using any viewport page that is not the default is simply a matter of entering the URL of the page into the correct QuestionPoint Admin area.

To start the process first log on to QuestionPoint using your 9 didgit admin autho.

On the QuestionPoint Home page click on the Select Service drop down in the upper right corner and choose "Administration.

Then click on the Settings link in the Red menu bar.

Then click on the Forms link in the second grey menu bar.

Then enter the viewport URL into the correct area on the form. Remember to click the Save button. The initial home of a viewport web page can be located on any web server.

It can take up to a full day for the new viewport location to be recognized and used by the 247Reference service. So give the changes a day or two to take effect.
